About CreateDun

Battles in CreateDun revolve around path layouts, enemy behavior, and the time available before they reach their destination. The battlefield can be transformed into narrow corridors, gathering points for area attacks, or long detours that give defenses more opportunities to strike.

The roguelite structure means every run is influenced by the relics and marks obtained after battles. In addition to progression within a single run, in-game resources can be used to upgrade Orbs and strengthen hero allies, ensuring that failed attempts still contribute to long-term progression.

CreateDun Gameplay

You begin by studying the map layout and estimating the direction in which enemies will move, then placing walls to create advantageous paths. For example, enemies can be directed toward a chokepoint where they are easier to hit with area damage, or forced to take a longer route to reduce pressure on your defenses.

After each battle, you choose relics that can increase damage, strengthen defenses, alter mechanics, or help you acquire resources. These choices must suit the map layout and the conditions of the run, because even powerful relics cannot fully compensate for poor wall placement or poorly planned routes.

CreateDun Features

Freeform Wall Building

Walls can be built across different parts of the map to reshape the battlefield during combat. This freedom makes structure placement a key tool for controlling the pace and direction of enemy attacks.

Enemy Route Manipulation

Enemy paths are not fixed, so small changes to the wall layout can create different movement patterns. You need to predict how enemies will respond so that a new route does not inadvertently create an opening toward their destination.

Chokepoints and Detours

Routes can be designed to gather enemies at specific attack points or delay them by sending them on a longer journey. These approaches offer different tactical choices between maximizing area attacks and buying more time for your defenses.

Roguelite Relic Combinations

Relics that appear after battles can enhance abilities or alter mechanics during a run. Since the available combinations may vary, you are encouraged to adapt your strategy instead of always using the same setup.

Orb and Ally Progression

Collected resources are useful not only for a single battle but also for progression between runs. You can use them to upgrade Orbs and hero allies, expanding your strategic options for future attempts.

Strategy That Demands Adaptation

Unit strength is not the only factor that determines success, as the layout and your predictions of enemy movement remain highly influential. Every decision, from wall positioning to relic selection, must adapt to the map and emerging threats.
