Pigments: Color Scheme Creator is a color palette creation app for generating, editing, saving, and exporting color combinations from a phone. The app helps designers, artists, and other users discover color combinations through a modern interface and various color selection tools.
Create palettes with various generator types
Pigments lets you create palettes with one tap and offers several scheme types. Users can choose random, gradient, pastel, neutral, or color wheel harmony palettes such as monochromatic, analogous, complementary, compound, triadic, tetradic, and rectangular. Each palette can contain 1 to 20 colors.
Individual colors can be adjusted through a visual color picker or HEX, RGB, HSV, and CMYK numeric inputs and sliders. The color order can also be changed by dragging colors to another position. Specific colors can be locked so they do not change when a new scheme is created. Isolation mode adds spacing around colors to help view each part of the palette separately.
Review and refine color combinations
The app provides a history feature for undoing or redoing palette changes by swiping left or right. It also includes a color blindness simulation feature for checking how palettes appear under protanopia, protanomaly, deuteranopia, deuteranomaly, tritanopia, tritanomaly, and achromatopsia. Light and dark app themes are available to customize the interface.
The tools menu includes random, experimental, and neutral palettes, along with warm or cool color options. Pigments also provides skin tone variations that can be used in human figures. With these options, users can explore colors and find shades that suit specific visual needs.
Extract colors from images
The image color picker feature allows palettes to be created from images. Colors can be selected manually or automatically. Images can be loaded from the device or through a link. Another premium feature can create a collage containing the image and its color palette for export.
Save, export, and share palettes
Created palettes can be saved locally in the library for easy retrieval. Pigments supports exporting palettes in various formats and creating links to share them with others. Set import and export capabilities also help combine multiple sets or reuse existing color themes.
