About Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds
The story centers on Goo’s attempt to return to its habitat after the time machine takes it to different periods. The journey unfolds through various situations along the way, while the setting changes regularly to make each stage feel different.
This adventure spans six eras, each with its own distinct atmosphere. You can encounter dinosaurs and strange creatures in the ancient world, see a bustling village during the feudal era, and then continue the journey into the present day and the future.
Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds Gameplay
The game’s main activity involves moving Goo by sliding your finger across the screen and guiding it toward edible objects. Each time enough objects are devoured, Goo grows larger, allowing it to swallow targets that were previously too big.
You need to observe the environment and choose objects that match Goo’s current size. As its body grows, the viewing range and available targets expand; the player’s choices shift from chasing microscopic objects to approaching gigantic ones while continuing the cycle of moving, eating, and growing.
Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds Features
Journey Through Six Eras
The time machine takes Goo through six different periods. Each change of era alters the atmosphere, objects, and creatures encountered, so the journey is not confined to a single setting.
Food-Based Growth
Goo grows larger after eating many objects in the environment. This change in size is central to progression because it determines which objects can be approached and devoured next.
Direct Touch Controls
Goo’s movement is controlled by guiding your finger across the screen toward food targets. This system keeps the focus on precise movement, observing the surroundings, and choosing a path to edible objects.
Ever-Increasing Object Scale
The environment provides food ranging in size from microscopic items to enormous objects. You must grow gradually before you can take on larger targets in each area.
Era-Specific Settings
Each period features scenery and inhabitants associated with its era. The ancient world contains dinosaurs and unusual creatures, while the feudal era shows the development of a lively village.
Full-Screen Display
The game fills the device’s screen to provide a wide viewing area while guiding Goo. On devices with a camera cutout that intrudes into the display area, the system adjusts that section with rounded edges.
