TLS Tunnel is a free VPN app that helps bypass restrictions imposed by internet providers or governments, protects data when using public Wi-Fi, and masks the IP address. The app can be used without registration or payment and provides customizable connection settings for general and advanced needs.
TLSVPN protocol for official connections
The official TLS Tunnel server uses a special protocol called TLSVPN. Connections are protected with TLS 1.3 encryption, a cryptographic standard also used by HTTPS websites. Each connection is verified to prevent eavesdropping and man-in-the-middle attacks. By default, user traffic is separated from that of other users.
The official server also has additional network features that can be enabled as needed. When this feature is enabled, users can communicate with other users connected to the same server through an internal IP address created by the app. This feature is disabled by default.
Private server and SSH settings

Private servers have different characteristics from official servers. Connections through SSH on private servers only forward TCP traffic. UDP needs, including online games, require a UDP Gateway such as badvpn-udpgw. If they do not have their own server, users can access a third-party private server, but its management and issues are the owner’s responsibility.
IPv6 support and various protocols
The official TLS Tunnel server supports IPv6 routing. It also allows various IPv4 and IPv6 protocols to pass through the connection, making it suitable for network needs that require more than just TCP traffic. This support differs from SSH-based private servers, which only handle TCP without an additional UDP Gateway.
Background use and always-on VPN
TLS Tunnel is designed for low background battery consumption. In the device settings, Always-On VPN can be enabled to keep the VPN connection running without needing to be turned on manually again. This setting is intended to maintain continuous connection protection while the app and device are using it.
