Many games have successfully made the leap from PC or console platforms to mobile, even though it is a difficult process. With a wide variety of hardware configurations, developers must ensure that these games can run on all targeted devices.

So, here is a list of 10 games from Steam and consoles that also received mobile versions for Android devices.

Rocket League

In this soccer game, players will find intense competition, skill-based gameplay, and plenty of customization options. Rocket League became incredibly successful because it was one of the free games offered to PlayStation Plus subscribers in 2015, and it continued its journey toward success by being released on nearly every console and platform since then.

With its unique game modes and a ranking system that adapts to each player’s skill level, Rocket League never gets boring to play.

Tetris Effect

Tetris Effect is a game bold enough to make its way onto the Android platform. It is somewhat difficult to expect high-level gameplay on a portable screen for this type of game, but the Oculus Quest version of Tetris Effect released last year proved that the game can run on Android and VR devices while being just as exciting as it is on PC or consoles.

Warframe

This game features fast-paced combat, with a movement style that creates opportunities for over-the-top action where every kill feels satisfying. In 2020, Warframe was acquired by Tencent, a company no stranger to mobile games and MMOs, making the game even more popular.

Persona 5 Royal

The unique turn-based combat system in Persona 5 Royal offers a traditional RPG format for this dating-sim adventure. Players will harness creatures and personas associated with legendary villains and thieves, as dungeon diving meets dating in this outstanding social RPG from Atlus.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game

The release of the beat-‘em-up Scott Pilgrim game is considered one of the greatest. With its rerelease earlier this year, it is sure to bring some much-needed quality improvements and additional characters not found in the original PS3 and Xbox One releases.
With amusing portrayals of the movie’s characters and settings that closely resemble its plot, players can experience its strong comic-book charm.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove

Originally released in 2014, Shovel Knight’s combination of 8-bit graphics and chiptune music offers a glimpse into a ‘what might have been’ scenario for a game released during the NES era. Along with expansions starring three bosses from the original game, each with their own movesets and storylines, players will need to spend plenty of time completing this world of shovels and knights.

Maquette

Maquette tells the heartbreaking story of two individuals and their relationship, which seems too perfect—or perhaps is simply what it is. As players progress through the story, they will discover key elements connected to keepsakes and the world around them, which is a scale replica that changes as players bring objects into the scale model itself. This is a puzzle game, so players will really need to put their minds to work to complete it.

A Short Hike

This open-world exploration game offers plenty of freedom and relaxation through its simple design. Players take on the role of Claire, a young bird trying to get cell phone reception at the top of a mountain so she can receive an important call. There are many animals on the island to interact with and help solve their problems, as well as plenty of hidden items scattered around the island that lead to side quests and stories.

Undertale

Toby Fox’s loving tribute to the Mother series features a great story, incredible music, and an impressive combat system. It has been ported to nearly every platform except mobile. The game’s graphics are simple yet stylish, with a control scheme that is relatively easy to master.

Celeste

Pixel-perfect platforming and an adorable 8/16-bit style are what make Celeste so charming. The game is difficult, but its difficulty settings can be adjusted to suit each player’s playstyle. The story brings its extensive platforming challenges to life, making Celeste an incredibly enjoyable game to play.
